Job Description:

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing civil engineering projects from conception through completion. You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure that projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed designs and specifications for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, water systems, and buildings.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate project feasibility and identify potential issues.
  • Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure project alignment and compliance.
  • Ensure that all projects meet relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Oversee construction activities, ensuring quality and adherence to design specifications. Address any issues that arise during construction.
  • Perform technical analyses, including structural, hydraulic, and geotechnical assessments.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, drawings, and contracts. Prepare progress reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve engineering problems and challenges in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and standards.
  • Experience in generating Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Familiarity with ADDC/TAQA civil specifications.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil activities related to electric substations.
